Guidelines for Interconnection Agreements
The Utilities and Transportation Commission created guidelines for local exchange companies to help settle interconnection agreements that combine elements from varied existing agreements. This follows the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) rule that allows companies to select terms from different agreements. The UTC approved these guidelines in Docket UT-990355 on Nov. 30, 1999, and revised them on April 12, 2000.
The UTC issued a request for comments on whether to turn these guidelines into formal agency rules. A workshop took place on Dec. 16, 1999.
