| Summary | Less than Statutory notice request for Harold LeMay Enterprises, Inc. dba City Sanitary, Joe’s Refuse, White Pass Garbage, Tariff revisions that would generate approximately $129,000 (3.9 percent) additional annual revenue to recover the increased cost of disposal fees set by the Thurston County Department of Public Services. On January 1, 2026, disposal fees will increase from $119 per ton to $131 per ton. Additionally, there is a Tariff revision for commodity adjustment. The Tariff revisions in the RSA-1 area for $0.40 increase (debit increase from $0.68 to $1.08) per month for residential and multi-family recycling customers and in Thurston County below 142nd for a $0.26 decrease (debit decrease from $1.18 to $0.92) per month for residential recycling customers and a $0.34 decrease (debit decrease from $1.19 to $0.85) per month for multi-family recycling customers. This is the first commodity adjustment filing for the RSA-1 area and in Thurston County below 142nd area where processing fees are no longer embedded in this mechanism because of Waste Connection ownership of Pioneer recycling. The Company provides regulated solid waste collection service to approximately 4,600 residential, 600 commercial, and 30 drop box, and serves approximately 18,000 residential and multi-family recycling customers in the RSA-1 area and in Thurston County below 142nd. The Company’s last general rate increase became effective on May 1, 2024. |
