The UTC does not collect funds or issue refunds on behalf of utility companies. If you think that you have been targeted by this scam, please contact your utility company immediately.

Community Notices

Railroad companies are required to notify the commission and the governing authority of a community at least 10 days before taking any planned action that may have a significant impact on the community. Such actions can include;

  • disrupting the use of a crossing for track inspection,
  • reconstruction,
  • maintenance,
  • or blocking a crossing.

Community Notices Received

The commission received the following community impact notice(s):  

  • SR-181/W Valley Hwy/68th Ave S, Kent. USDOT 871950X. Union Pacific Railroad will close the crossing from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday March 5, 2024, to repair potholes in the crossing surface.
