Collocation Rules

A rule establishing timelines and procedures for collocation, WAC 480-120-560, took effect January 3, 2001.

Incumbent local exchange carriers are required to permit collocation of competitors' equipment.  This makes it possible for consumers and businesses to get service from competitive local telephone companies through the use of the existing local telephone network.
