Community Notices

Railroad companies are required to notify the commission and the governing authority of a community at least 10 days before taking any planned action that may have a significant impact on the community. Such actions can include:

  • disrupting the use of a crossing for track inspection,
  • reconstruction,
  • maintenance,
  • or blocking a crossing.

  • NW 122nd Street, Felida. USDOT 092421N. Closed daily September 10-12, open at night, for a full crossing rehab project. Roadmaster Jarrell Williams BNSF 360-989-6906.
  • Madison Street, Nooksack. USDOT 084922X. Closed Tuesday September 10 from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. to replace existing crossing with new track and surface materials. Roadmaster Paul Farley BNSF 509-591-2021. 
  • E. Badger Road, Sumas. USDOT 084930P. Closed Wednesday September 11 from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. to replace crossing surface. Roadmaster Paul Farley BNSF 509-591-2021.
  • Washington Avenue, Ferndale. USDOT 084837H. Closed Wednesday September 11, from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. to replace crossing surface. Roadmaster Paul Farley BNSF 509-591-2021.
