File Documents Online
You can file many types of documents with the commission online. These include:
- Annual reports
- Contracts
- New tariffs
- Pleadings in adjudicated cases
- Rulemaking comments
- Time schedules
- Transportation permit applications
All electronically filed documents must follow the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) and Revised Code of Washington (RCW).
You can submit documents at eFiling.utc.wa.gov/Form.
If you are filing a tariff, you must first send an authorization letter to register.
Tariffs and Time Schedules
Sometimes, you may need to file a tariff revision with less notice than what istate law requires. When this happens, the commission must review the revision and decide if will take effect. This process is called "less than statutory notice" (LSN) handling.
To request LSN handling, complete and submit this LSN Form (PDF). The form explains what you need to include and how to send it to the commission.
Filing by Industry or Document Type
You can also file documents based on the industry or document type. Options include:
- Auto transportation tariffs and time schedules
- Commercial ferry tariffs and time schedules
- Contracts
- Solid waste tariffs
- Utility tariffs
- Transportation permit applications
