Railroad companies are required to notify the commission and the governing authority of a community at least 10 days before taking any planned action that may have a significant impact on the community.
Such actions can include disrupting the use of a crossing for track inspection, reconstruction, maintenance, or blocking a crossing.

- Sagemoor Road, Pasco. USDOT 089700F. Crossing will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025, for emergency repair of crossing defect. BNSF Roadmaster Karl Jay, 509-536-2571.
- South Spokane Street, Seattle. USDOT 801509U. Roadway will be restricted to one lane on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for repair of crossing surface. Union Pacific Roadmaster Vincent Ortegon, 971-420-9348.

- Cliffside Drive, Bellingham. USDOT 084821L. Crossing is tentatively scheduled for closure Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for reconstruction of the crossing with new rail, crossing surface, and roadway approaches. BNSF Roadmaster John Barson, 425-330-6757.
