Online Self-Paced Trainings
Online trainings let you learn on your own without an instructor. You can start and stop at any time. But you must finish every part within 30 days, including the final test.
This training has nine sections. They cover:
- Insurance rules
- Driver qualifications
- Commercial Driver’s License rules
- Drug and alcohol testing
- Driver operations
- Hours of service
- Vehicle checks and repairs
- Safety reviews
If you take the training in one session, each module will move you to the next one when you finish. You can also choose any module from your dashboard when you are ready.
Register
This training uses a system called UTC Academy. Follow these steps to register:
- If you do not have a SecureAccess Washington (SAW) account, create one at SecureAccess Washington. You may have a SAW login if you have used other state services, like renewing a driver’s license or paying unemployment insurance.
- Email transportation@utc.wa.gov with Passenger Carrier Safety Training in the subject line. In the email, include:
- Your SAW username
- The email address linked to your SAW account
- Your first and last name
- Your company name
You will get an email from “Easy LMS” when the course is added to your dashboard. You will use your SAW username and email to log in.
You have 30 days to finish the whole Passenger Carrier Safety training.
