Overview
The UTC is currently holding a general rate case to evaluate changes Cascade Natural Gas plans to make to its rates and services, filed in June 2020. The commission previously rejected the company's submitted tariff sheets and the company petitioned for reconsideration in May 2021. In June 2021, the commission approved only part of the company's petition.

Procedural History

Tariff filed June 19, 2020: Cascade Natural Gas Corporation (Cascade or Company) filed with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (Commission) revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-3. The Commission suspended the tariffs and issued a notice of virtual prehearing conference to be held Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 1 p.m.

Prehearing Conference Order July 13, 2020: The commission entered Order 03, a Prehearing Conference Order, which, established the procedural schedule including an evidentiary hearing for 9 a.m., Feb. 24, 2021.

Virtual Hearing Notice Nov. 2, 2020: The commission issued a notice that the public comment hearing in this case would be held virtually on Jan. 26, 2021, at 6 p.m.
