On April 28, 2022, the commission filed a Preproposal Statement of Inquiry (CR-101) with the Office of the Code Reviser, to be published under WSR #22-10-046. On the same day, the commission issued a Notice of Opportunity to File Written Comments by June 3, 2022.
On April 22, 2026, the commission filed an Amended Preproposal Statement of Inquiry (CR-101) with the Office of the Code Reviser, to be published under WSR #26-09-139 to consider potential changes to current rules in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 480-70 and narrowing the rulemaking focus to items relating to solid waste customer notice rules. On the same day, the commission issued a Notice of Opportunity to File Written Comments and Notice of Hybrid Workshop in docket TG-22140, providing opportunity to file written comments on questions detailed in the notice by May 22, 2026. The hybrid workshop is set for June 16, 2026, at 1 p.m. Interested persons may participate in the workshop in person at the commission’s headquarters or virtually via Zoom.
