Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
Commission staff hosts a free training in March for regulated water companies and other interested parties.
This training is available to owners and employees of existing water companies, satellite management companies, and non-regulated companies who are interested in common processes. The presenters include representatives from the commission’s Regulatory Services and Consumer Protection sections.
The first part of the training will be with Consumer Protection staff and will provide a comprehensive review of the rules and regulations. The afternoon session will be one-on-one sessions with companies and staff to answer questions and assist with review of their bills or company forms.
The second part of the training will be with Regulatory Services staff and will cover the following topics:
(a) An Overview of the Ratemaking Process,
(b) How to Put Together a Rate Case Filing and
(c) The Annual Report Process.
There will be then be one-on-one sessions with companies and staff to answer questions, assist with getting started on a rate filing, or any other issues the company may have.
Training begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. The training will be held at UTC Headquarters in Olympia located at 1300 S. Evergreen Park Dr. SW Olympia, WA 98504.
