On June 27, 2014 Puget Sound Energy (PSE) filed with the commission a Petition for Declaratory Order (Petition) requesting a commission determination that: (1) PSE's commitment to accelerate its acquisition of energy efficiency commenced with the implementation of the decoupling mechanism in July 2013; (2) it is appropriate to prorate the commitment over the biennium to reflect only the period when the decoupling mechanism is in effect; and (3) PSE has not violated its commitment to accelerate its acquisition of energy efficiency by achieving 104.8 percent of its conservation target in the 2012-201132 biennium. A more detailed account of the Petition is available by clickinghere.

Pursuant to RCW 34.05.240 and WAC 480-07-930, the commission gives notice of PSE's Petition to all persons required by law and such other persons as deemed appropriate. The commission also invites interested persons to submit a statement of fact and law on the issues raised by the Petition by Friday, July 18, 2014.

Procedural questions regarding this matter may be addressed to Gregory J. Kopta, Directory, Administrative Law Division, at 360-664-1355, or gkopta@utc.wa.gov.
