Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
The commission held a prehearing conference on November 10, 2011, in Dockets TG-111672, TG-111674 and TG-111681 (consolidated) which involve filings by Murrey's Disposal Company, Inc., American Disposal Company, Inc., and Mason County Garbage Company, Inc., d/b/a Mason County Garbage. Each company proposes to increase the amount it pays to single family and multi-family customers for the value of the recyclable materials that it collects in its residential recycling collection service. Each company also requests to retain up to fifty (or thirty) percent of the revenue it receives from the sale of recyclable materials that it collects in its residential single and multi-family recycling collection service from November 1, 2011, to October 31, 2012.
At the prehearing conference the parties agreed on a procedural schedule. The commission entered Order 03 - Prehearing Conference Order on November 15, 2011. Since that date the commission has revised the procedural schedule and hearing dates. The most recent procedural schedule change is reflected in a notice issued September 4, 2012.
On October 5, 2012, by Order 03, the commission consolidated Docket TG-120073 with Dockets TG-111672, TG-111674 and TG-111681.
On December 28, 2012, the commission entered Order 06 - Final Order.
On January 7, 2013, a petition for reconsideration was filed on behalf of Murrey's Disposal and American Disposal Company. The commission entered its Order 07 on January 25, 2013, denying the petition for reconsideration.
