Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
On October 22, 2018, the commission filed with the Code Reviser a Preproposal Statement of Inquiry (CR-101), initiating a rulemaking to consider possible additions or modifications to certain sections in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) Chapter 480-120, Telephone Companies. The Commission believes that revisions are necessary to address companies’ obligations to provide basic local exchange service upon request, particularly when a line extension is necessary as currently required by WAC 480-120-071.
Also on October 22, the commission issued a notice of opportunity to submit written comments and attend a stakeholder workshop. Comments are due by 5 p.m., December 7, 2018. The workshop was to be held at 9:30 a.m., January 7, 2019.
On December 31, 2018, the commission issued a notice rescheduling the workshop to January 17, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., in the commission's hearing room, second floor, room 206, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Dr. SW, Olympia, Washington.
