Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
On February 19, 2020, Puget Sound Energy (PSE) filed with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (Commission) revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-2 for natural gas service. The revised tariff would discontinue PSE's Water Heater Rental Service. Also on February 19, 2020, PSE filed an application (Application) seeking Commission determination that its Water Heater Rental Service and associated assets are no longer necessary or useful, per Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 480-143-180(2), or, in the alternative, Commission authorization for the sale of the Water Heater Rental Service to Grand HVAC Leasing USA LLC (GHL).
On March 4, 2020, the commission issued a notice of prehearing conference. The conference will be held at 10:30 a.m., March 13,2020, in the commission's hearing room first floor, 621 Woodland Square Loop SE, Lacey, Washington.
On March 16,2020, the commission entered a Prehearing Conference Order, which, among other things, established the procedural schedule including an evidentiary hearing for July 15, 2020, at 9 a.m., in the commission's hearing room, 621 Woodland Square Loop SE, Lacey, Washington.
On April 30, 2020, the commission issued a notice suspending the procedural schedule with the exception of the evidentiary hearing and requiring filing of settlement documents by May 22, 2020.
On May 19, 2020, the commission issued a notice of a virtual public comment hearing to be held on June 18, 2020, at 6 p.m. See participation instructions below.
On June 1, 2020, the commission issued a notice cancelling the evidentiary hearing set for July 15, 2020, and giving notice that, aside from the public comment hearing, the commissioin will issue a decision based on a paper record.On June 23, 2020, the commission issued a notice reinstating the settlement hearing set for July 15, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. The hearing will take place virtually via Skype or by phone,1 (360) 407-3810, Conference ID: 9524028.
