On November 18, 2013, PacifiCorp d/b/a Pacific Power & Light Company (PacifiCorp) filed with the WUTC (commission) a Petition for a Declaratory Order (Petition) to clarify the interpretation of WAC 480-100-128(6) and WAC 480-100-178.  Specifically, PacifiCorp requests that the commission find that combining the first of the four "past due" notices with regular billing statements complies with these commission rules.

By notice, the commission invited interested persons the opportunity to submit a statement of fact and law on the issues raised by the Petition.  All persons interested in this matter must submit either a statement of fact and law or a request to be placed upon the commission's service list in the event of further proceedings.  All comments must be filed with the commission no later than 5:00p.m., Friday, December 6, 2013.

On January 29, 2014, the commission entered Order 01 - Declaratory Order

Procedural questions regarding this matter may be addressed to Gregory J. Kopta, Director, Administrative Law Division, at 360-664-1355, or gkopta@utc.wa.gov.
