​On October 31, 2013, Puget Sound Energy, Inc. (PSE) filed with the commission a petition for an accounting order allocating the proceeds of the sale of PSE's Jefferson County assets and service territory to the Public Utility District No. 1 of Jefferson County under threat of condemnation.

The commission held a prehearing conference in this matter on December 17, 2013, at UTC headquarters, Washington.

On December 17, 2013 the commission entered a prehearing conference order in this matter.

On March 24, 2014, the commission issued a notice rescheduling the hearing originally scheduled for May 19, 2014, to May 21, 2014, beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the commission's hearing room, second floor, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive S.W., Olympia, Washington.

On September 11, 2014, the commission entered its Final Order - Order 04, Granting,  In Part, and Denying, In Part, Petition for Accounting Order.  The commission grants PSE's Petition for an Accounting Order allocating the $109,273,196 in proceeds from the Company's sale of assets to Jefferson County Public Utility District No. 1, but rejects PSE's proposed allocation.  Click here to read the entire order.
