Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
On May 23, 2014, Puget Sound Energy (PSE or Company) filed with the commission revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-60, designated as the Schedule 95 "Power Cost Adjustment Clause." PSE seeks to revise its Power Cost Rate reflected in Schedule 95, in order to reflect decreases in the Company's overall normalized power supply costs. The Company's filing would decrease charges and rates for electric service customers by approximately $9,554,847 or 0.456 percent.
The commission suspended operation of the tariffs on June 12, 2014, by Order 01, and entered a standard protective order on June 13, 2014, by Order 02.
The commission held a prehearing conference in this matter on July 9, 2014, and entered Order 03, Prehearing Conference.
On August 25, 2014, commission staff filed a letter with the commission indicating that the parties had reached an agreement to settle this matter. The commission, by Notice issued on August 26, suspended the procedural schedule in this matter. A settlement stipulation was filed on September 5, 2014.
The commission will conducted a hearing on the parties' proposed settlement on September 30, 2014, at UTC headquarters in Olympia, Washington.
