​On December 19, 2014, the commission issued Penalty Assessment UW-144112 against Newaukum Water System, Inc. (Newaukum or Company) in the amount of $1,000, alleging a violation of RCW 80.28.080 which prohibits Companies from charging customers a rate that is high than the rate published in its tariff.

On January 5, 2015, Newaukum filed with the commission a request for hearing.  The commission scheduled a brief adjudicative proceeding in this matter for 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Room 206, Second Floor, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive S.W., Olympia, Washington.

On January 13, 2015, the commission issued Penalty Assessment UW-150045 against Newaukum in the amount of $2,200, alleging a continued violation of RCW 80.28.080.

On January 27, 2015, Newaukum filed with the commission a request for hearing.  Newaukum requests that the hearing be scheduled for February 11, 2015, the same time as the brief adjudicative proceeding in Docket UW-144112.  The commission will hold a brief adjudicative proceeding in Docket UW-150045 at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in conjunction with Docket UW-144112.

On February 6, 2015, the commission issued anotice canceling the hearing on February 11, 2015 and set February 13, 2015, as the deadline for Settlement Documents or Status Report.

On February 18, 2015, the commission entered Order 01 - Initial Order Approving Settlement Agreement.
