Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
On July 20, 2011, Miller Schmer d/b/a Seattle Express filed with the commission an application for an extension of Certificate No. C-1052 for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to operate motor vehicles in furnishing passenger and express service as an auto transportation company. Seattle Express requests its existing authority be revised to include passenger service between cruise line terminals 66 and 91 and the Sea-Tac Airport.
On August 31, 2011, Shuttle Express filed a protest to the Application.
The commission held a prehearing conference on this matter on November 22, 2011, and issued a prehearing conference order (Order 01) on December 1, 2011.
The parties indicate that they are working on a settlement that they expect to present in the near future. The commission, by notice issued March 14, 2012, requests that the parties must, by March 28, 2012, either file a settlement agreement or submit a report on the status of their negotiations.
The parties filed a settlement agreement on March 28, and the commission issued Order 02 - Initial Order Approving Settlement Agreement on April 3, 2012.
