​On June 26, 2014, King County, BNSF Railway, Frontier Communications Northwest, Inc., Verizon Wireless, and New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC (collectively, Petitioners') jointly filed with the commission a Petition for a Declaratory Order (Petition) to address the degradation of service from Puget Sound Energy (PSE) due to the physical deterioration of the  Maloney Ridge Line underground cable located in the Snoqualmie National Forest.  A more detailed account of the Petition is available by clicking here.

Pursuant to RCW 34.05.240 and WAC 480-07-930, the commission gives notice of the Petitioners' Petition to all persons required by law and such other persons as deemed appropriate.  The commission also invites interested persons to submit a statement of fact and law on the issues raised by the Petition by Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

On July 25, 2014, the commission issued a notice of Prehearing Conference setting the date and time for Wednesday, August 27, 2014.

On August 28,2014, the commission the commission entered order 02 - Protective Order and Order 01 - Prehearing Conference Order; Notice of Hearing, setting the date and time for an evidentiary hearing as Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at 9:30 a.m..

On March 30, 2015 the commission issued a notice rescheduling the hearing in this matter. The hearing is now scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2015.

On August 18, 2015, the commission entered Order 03 - Initial Order.
