Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
On August 8, 2018, the commission filed with the Code Reviser a preproposal statement of inquiry (CR-101). The commission proposes to adopt new rules and revise existing rules to establish procedures for general rate proceedings for
marine pilotage services, in order to abide by SSB 6519, which transferred marine pilotage rate-setting
authority from the Board of Pilotage Commissioners (BPC) to the Commission
effective July 1, 2019.
On August 10, 2018, the commission issued a notice of CR-101, along with some drafts of proposed rules for discussion (480-07 & 480-160). Comments are due by 5 p.m., September 14, 2018.
On March 20, 2019, the commission filed its CR-102 with the Code Reviser at WSR 19-07-077 and issued a notice on March 21, 2019, inviting comment on the proposed draft rules (480-07 & 480-160). Comments are due by 5 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2019. An adoption hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m., on April 24, 2019, in the commission's hearing room, second floor, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Dr. SW, Olympia Washington.
