Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission
On May 26, 2017, Avista Utilties (Avista) filed with the commission, by letter, revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-28, Electric Service in Docket UE-160228 and revisions to its currently effective Tariff WN U-29, Natural Gas Service in Docket UG-160229 designed to effect a general rate increase for electric and natural gas service.
The commission suspended operation of the tariffs and consolidated the dockets for hearing by Order 01, entered on June 2.
On June 6, 2017, the commission issued a Notice establishing a prehearing conference which was held at 9:30 a.m. on June 30, 2017, in the commission's hearing room, second floor, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive S.W., Olympia, Washington.
On July 5, 2017, the commission entered Order 03, Prehearing Conference Order and Notice of Hearing, which establishes the procedural schedule including, among other things, an evidentiary hearing beginning January 16, 2018 at 9 a.m. and continuing on January 17 and 18, in the commission's hearing room, second floor, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive S.W., Olympia, Washington.
The commission will hold two public comment hearings. The first will be on November 8, 2017, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N Cook St., Spokane, Washington. the second will be on November 28, 2017, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Pioneer Center, 240 SE Dexter St., Pullman, Washington. These hearings offer an opportunity for the public to present their comments to the commission for consideration.
