Summary General rate increase request that, as originally filed, would have generated approximately $1.2 Million (9.3 percent) additional annual revenue for the collection of garbage, recycling, and yard waste services. Staff and the Company have agreed to a lower additional annual revenue amount of approximately $1.1 Million (8.7 percent) resulting in lower revised rates. The Company provides regulated solid waste collection service to approximately 28,500 residential, 28,500 recycling, 19,000 yard waste, 550 multi-family, and 1,600 commercial customers in King and Snohomish Counties. The Company’s last general rate increase became effective on September 1, 2021.

  • 03/23/2023 -- Allowed (Commissioner Rendahl moved in Docket No. TG-230058, that the commission allow the tariff revision filed by Rabanco Ltd. d/b/a Lynnwood Disposal, Republic Services, on January 24, 2023, as revised March 17, 2023, to become effective April 1, 2023, subject to the condition that within 12 months, the company file information with the commission to demonstrate that it looked at other vendors for comparison shopping as well as provide the actual expenses and invoices for the fuel over the last 12 months to demonstrate the need for this charge and rates.
