Less than Statutory notice request for Waste Management of Spokane, a division of Waste Management of Washington, Inc. Tariff No. 18 revisions that would generate approximately $227,000 (2.2 percent) additional annual revenue to recover the increased cost of disposal fees set by Spokane County Public Works. On January 1, 2026, disposal fees will increase from $130.42 per ton to $135 per ton at the Spokane County Transfer Station (TS) and from $51.10 per ton to $52.60 per ton at the Graham Road Landfill. Additionally, there is an increase in rates due to the increased B&O tax from 1.75 percent to 2.10 percent effective January 1, 2026. The Company serves approximately 26,500 customers in Spokane County. The Company’s last general rate case became effective March 2015. |
