On November 14, 2011, Sean McNamara d/b/a Bellingham Water Taxi, filed with the commission an 
application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to operate vessels in furnishing passenger-only ferry service between Squalicum Harbor, Bellwether Hotel, Bellingham Cruise Terminal, Eliza, Vendovi, Sinclair, Cypress, Obstruction Pass, Olga, Rosario, Lopez (Odlin Park), and Blakely.
The commission received protests to the application from Pacific Cruises Northwest, Inc., d/b/a Victoria San Juan Cruises and Island Commuter Service, LLC d/b/a Island Commuter Service.
The commission held a prehearing conference in this matter on February 6, 2012, at the UTC headquarters. At the prehearing conference the parties agreed to a procedural schedule which is set for in Appendix B to Order 01 - Prehearing Conference Order.
Commission staff filed aletter on March 8, 2012, indicating that the parties had reached an agreement in principle to settle this matter.
On March 13, 2012, the commission issued a notice that suspends the procedural schedule and cancels the hearing previously scheduled for March 26, 2012. By April 11, 2012, the parties must either file a resolution in this matter or a status report.
